Red Flags: This Child Needs Help!

Presented by: Penelope A. Frese, Ph.D., Red Flags Program

Course Description:
Children can experience significant stressers in their lives which can impact their ability to learn and their behavior in school.  The Red Flags Program, Ohio's School based Mental Health Awareness and Intervention Program, offers information for teachers, students, and parents on recognizing symptoms of mental health problems and intervening early to prevent serious and costly complications.  This ten year old program is evidenced supported, easy to implement, inexpensive, comprehensive, and requires very little time.  The sessions will address the need for a mental health protocol in schools, and cover the materials available to schools, students, and teachers through the Red Flags Program.
