Fitness Testing in School Setting

Course Description:
One of the P.E objectives is to develop health related fitness (muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, aerobic endurance, and body composition).  With growing concern in physical inactivity and obesity, physical activity and physical fitness is getting more attention from teachers, parents, administrators, etc.  In this context, fitness curriculum and fitness testing are two important components.  This session will focus on the recent discussions and possible directions for Fitness Testing in schools.  The presenter will also provide positive approaches and guidelines for fitness testing in schools.
